1.Returns/Refund Requests

1.1 In accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in this Refund and Return Policy as well as the Terms of Service, buyers may request to return purchased items ("Items") and/or seek a refund before the expiration of the MaiKan Guarantee period.


1.2 The MaiKan Guarantee is a service provided by MaiKan upon user request, designed to assist users in resolving certain conflicts that may arise during the transaction process. Users may communicate privately to resolve disputes or contact relevant local authorities to assist them in resolving any disputes before, during, or after using the MaiKan Guarantee.


2.Return Requests

2.1 Buyers may only request a refund and/or return under the following circumstances:


The buyer did not receive the item.

The item was defective and/or damaged upon delivery.

The received product is incomplete (missing quantity or accessories).

The seller delivered items to the buyer that do not match the agreed specifications (e.g., incorrect size, color, etc.).

There is a significant discrepancy between the item received and the description provided by the seller in the item listing.

The received item is counterfeit.

The received item is physically damaged (e.g., dents, scratches, broken).

The received item is defective (e.g., malfunctioning, not working as expected).

By private agreement with the seller, the seller must confirm the agreement with MaiKan.

Change of mind*

*The change of mind return policy applies only to certain categories and is limited to certain sellers.


**The counterfeit item return policy applies only to MaiKan sellers.


2.2 Buyer's requests must be submitted through the MaiKan application.


2.3 MaiKan will review each buyer's request on a case-by-case basis and make a determination on whether the buyer's request is successful.


2.4 Please note that if MaiKan requests, buyers must ship the item to the location designated by MaiKan within ten (10) calendar days after submitting the return request.


2.5 MaiKan will make the final decision on whether to approve your refund and return request. Buyers acknowledge and agree that MaiKan's decision is final, conclusive, and binding, and agree not to litigate or otherwise make any claims against MaiKan or its affiliates regarding such decision.


2.6 If the buyer has initiated legal proceedings against the seller, the buyer may provide MaiKan with formal notice from the relevant authorities requesting MaiKan to continue holding the purchase amount until a formal ruling is made. MaiKan will have full discretion to determine whether it is necessary to continue holding such purchase amount.


3.Priority of Seller's Rights

3.1 If you are a preferred seller, you should have already received separate written notice from MaiKan informing you of your selection to participate in the MaiKan Preferred Seller Program. If you decide at any time not to participate in the MaiKan Preferred Seller Program, please notify MaiKan in writing; otherwise, you will be deemed to have chosen to continue participating in MaiKan and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this refund and return policy. MaiKan may, at its sole discretion, suspend or remove any preferred seller from the MaiKan Preferred Seller Program at any time.


3.2 Decisions to approve refunds or returns by MaiKan under the above Section 2 shall be binding on the relevant preferred seller. Preferred sellers agree to comply and do all necessary things to effectuate the buyer's refund or return request and obtain MaiKan's approval.

3.3 For any refunds or returns approved by MaiKan, MaiKan will notify the preferred seller via email ("Email Notice") and arrange for the return of the relevant items to the preferred seller at the address provided to MaiKan in writing to complete the refund and return process, provided that the address is located in the country/region where the relevant item is listed for sale on the website ("Local Address"). If the preferred seller fails to provide a Local Address for the return of the item or otherwise fails to accept the return within a reasonable time (as determined by MaiKan), MaiKan reserves the right to dispose of such item in any manner it deems appropriate, and the preferred seller shall be deemed to have forfeited all rights to such item. If the preferred seller does not receive the returned item, the preferred seller must notify MaiKan within seven (7) days ("Notice Period") after receiving the Email Notice. Failure to notify MaiKan within the Notice Period shall be conclusive evidence and result in the preferred seller's acceptance of the delivery of the item, and the preferred seller agrees not to make any claims or raise any disputes regarding any such item.


3.4 Notwithstanding the above provisions, MaiKan may, at its sole discretion, decide not to return items approved for refund or return to the preferred seller, and the preferred seller shall be deemed to have forfeited all rights to such item.


3.5 For any refunds or returns received by MaiKan and rejected by MaiKan, MaiKan will arrange for the delivery of the item to the relevant buyer's address as per Section 2 above.

3.6 If MaiKan approves any refund or return request, the preferred seller may appeal the decision by contacting MaiKan and providing evidence to support the appeal. If MaiKan supports the preferred seller's appeal, it will reimburse the preferred seller for all or part of the purchase amount. The preferred seller acknowledges and agrees that MaiKan's decision is final, conclusive, and binding, and agrees not to litigate or otherwise make any claims against MaiKan or its affiliates regarding such decision.


4.Rights of Regular Sellers

4.1 For the purposes of this refund and return policy, regular sellers refer to sellers who are not marketplace sellers or preferred sellers.


4.2 When MaiKan receives a request from a buyer for a return and/or refund, MaiKan will notify the seller in writing. The seller may respond to the buyer's request following the steps provided by MaiKan in the written notice. The seller must respond within the time frame specified in the written notice ("Specified Period"). If MaiKan does not receive a response from the seller within the Specified Period, MaiKan will assume that the seller has not responded to the buyer's request and will continue to assess the buyer's request without further notice to the seller. MaiKan will review each seller's response on a case-by-case basis and make its own determination on whether the buyer's request may be successful under the circumstances described by the seller.


5.Return Scenarios

5.1 To enjoy a hassle-free experience when returning items, buyers should ensure that the item, including any complimentary items such as accessories provided with the item, must be returned to the seller in the condition received by the buyer upon delivery. We recommend buyers to take photos upon receiving the goods.


 6.Responsibility for Return Shipping Costs

(a) In the event of unforeseen errors on the part of the seller (i.e., damaged, defective, or incorrect items delivered to the buyer), the seller will bear the return shipping costs for the buyer.


(b) In the case of a change of mind by the buyer, the buyer should seek the seller's approval before returning the item, and the buyer will be responsible for the return shipping costs.


(c) In the event of a dispute between the buyer and seller regarding responsibility for return shipping costs, MaiKan will make the decision regarding which party will bear the return shipping costs.

7.Refunds

7.1 The buyer will only receive a refund once MaiKan receives confirmation from the seller that the returned item has been received by the seller. If MaiKan does not receive a response from the seller within the specified time, MaiKan reserves the right to refund the applicable amount to the buyer without further notice to the seller. Refunds will be returned to the buyer's credit card/debit card or the designated bank account (or USDT-TRC20 public chain wallet) as applicable.


8.Communication between Buyers and Sellers

8.1 MaiKan encourages users to communicate with each other when issues arise during transactions. As MaiKan is a platform for users to conduct transactions, buyers should directly contact sellers to resolve any issues related to the purchased items.
